About the jewelry artist
Ilgiz Fazulzyanov was born in 1968. In 1990, after graduating from art school and receiving a diploma as a designer, he founded a workshop for the production of stained glass windows and silk painting. In 1992 he opened his first jewelry workshop, the main task of which was to revive the national traditions of the Volga Tatars. Since 2012, Ilgiz F. has been represented in Paris, Geneva, Tokyo and New York. What is typical for Ilgiz, collections in different cities and countries are not repeated. However, the style and handwriting remain unchanged.
In 2011 and 2013, Ilgiz's works were awarded the Grand Prix of the International Jewellery Design Excellence Award, the results of which were summed up at one of the world's leading jewellery exhibitions - Hong Kong International Jewellery Fair. No artist has managed to win such a competition twice in a row. And numerous awards at other prestigious world competitions, together with experts from such respected companies as Cartier, auction houses Christie's (London) and Bonham's (New York), rightly confirm the talent of the author.
Directions of creativity
Art Nouveau
Inspired by floral motifs, the artist demonstrates in jewelry the victory of artistic design over the primacy of a precious stone. During this period, most of his author's collection is occupied by jewelry, striking with the richness of colors and shapes, peeped from nature itself.

National heritage
The first works of Ilgiz Fazulzyanov clearly trace the national traditions of the Volga Tatars, which are close in their motives to the works of jewelers of Central Asia. In his work, the young author combines historical and cultural heritage with new trends and technologies.

Art Deco
In search of new means of expression, Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, like many of his great modernist predecessors, turned to clear geometric forms, with a clear construction of symmetrical compositions, striving to achieve laconism and even greater expressiveness.
